Privacy notice

Last reviewed August 2026.

Optivo is the trading name of Andy Jackson, who operates as a sole trader and is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. For anything in this notice, email andy@andyjackson.com.

What we collect

Only what you give us. If you send an enquiry or book a call, we collect your name, your email address, your firm and whatever you write in the message. If you complete the scorecard, we collect your answers and your score, plus your email address if you ask for the result to be sent to you.

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used, and nothing else. It is consent-gated: no analytics script loads and no cookie is set unless you accept the banner, and you can decline without losing any of the site. We set no advertising trackers.

Why, and on what basis

To reply to you, to send you the result you asked for, and — if you become a client — to do the work. The lawful basis is legitimate interests where you have contacted us and expect a reply, contract where we are working together, and consent for any optional emails, which you can stop at any time.

Who else sees it

  • Netlify — hosting and form handling. It receives enquiry submissions and logs standard access data such as IP address.
  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) — the email platform. It receives your name and email address so it can send the result and any follow-up you asked for. Data is processed in the EU.

Nobody else. Your information is not sold and never shared for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within two years. Where we work together, records are kept for six years after the engagement ends, which is the period needed for tax and contractual purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being held at all. Email andy@andyjackson.com and it will be dealt with within a month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
